It is with a heavy heart that we announce the loss of an important member of the French culinary community, a wonderful charcuterie, and caterer, a Chef but also, a husband and a friend or just someone we all knew and appreciated very much, Bruno Commereuc.

His funerals will take place on Thursday, Jan 25th at the Saint Agatha Catholic Church (2646 S Mansfield Avenue, Los Angeles 90016).

Our heart goes to his family, his close friends and especially to Chef Josette who is deeply affected, knowing Bruno since he was a child and sharing an important part of each other lives. Bruno was an adoptive son for Chef Josette Leblond.

Claire has known chef Josette and Bruno for more than 20 years when they had Normandie Bakery café in Marina Del Rey: “I will always remember his beautiful smile and his kindness, and my warm baguette and Nutella! Bruno also owned Angelique Cafe in DTLA, the very special Saint Amour in Culver City, he was also creating some very secret recipes for well-known restaurants in LA… I had the chance to experience a private tasting with all his specialties… It was fantastic!”

Bruno was a good heart and he was funny and cute, always giving you a smile and making your day! Rest In Peace Bruno, we will truly miss you. 🙏
